McHardy back in the fray as Elgin bid to bounce straight back
Elgin manager Jim Weir will include Darryl McHardy in his plans for the visit of East Stirling following the versatile midfielder's suspension.
McHardy missed last week's 3-1 defeat at Montrose due to a one-game ban, while Weir is looking for an improved display from his side.
He said: "It really was an off day both in terms of how we defended and how much we created.
"We were all extremely disappointed with how things had gone but we have dusted ourselves down and are ready for East Stirling.
"They won at Queen's Park recently and drew at Arbroath in midweek without conceding a goal in either match, so we need to play well to get the win."
Bottom-of-the-table East Stirling will be without a quartet of injured players again.
Ross Gilmour (foot), Max Wright (calf), Billy Vidler (knee) and Michael Wallace (foot) all remain sidelined and head coach Craig Tully has told his players to be ready for a backlash from the Borough Briggs side.
Tully said: "Elgin will have been disappointed at their result last weekend and losing hold of top spot.
"They will be looking to bounce back quickly so we will have to be ready for them flying at us from the first whistle.
"We beat them in the last meeting down at our pitch so we can be confident about doing well in this game."
