Full steam ahead for Elgin as Borough Briggs side target return to top spot
Elgin manager Jim Weir has no injury or suspension worries as he looks to guide his side back to the top of the table by defeating visitors Montrose.
Weir's side lost 1-0 to Clyde last weekend and the Borough Briggs boss does not think they have to do much to get back on track.
He said: "The result was disappointing, however the performance was good. With some better luck we would have got at least a point so we do not need to alter a lot.
"Montrose gave us a bloody nose at their place recently when they won 3-1. We want to make up for that."
The Gable Endies will be without the injured Paul Watson (groin) and Ross McCord (knee) again and manager Paul Hegarty is wary of Elgin's prowess at home.
Hegarty said: "Elgin are very strong at Borough Briggs and they easily won our first game against them up there earlier this season.
"We had a terrific success over them five weeks ago, but that was at our place. We will need to play even better than we did that day to get another win.
"We have had a decent run recently, however we are still not out of things at the bottom of the table so we the points just as much as Elgin."
