Elgin V Clyde at Borough Briggs - Match Preview

Elgin remain depleted

Elgin will look to win for the first time this season when Clyde visit but they are again missing the injured trio of Sam Urquhart (shin), Mark Nicolson (stomach) and Paul Millar (knee).

Speedy striker Craig Gunn will be given every chance to get over a calf problem before manager Ross Jack names his side with the Elgin manager keen to build on an encouraging performance against Peterhead last weekend.

Jack said: "We can beat Clyde if we put in a 90-minute performance against them. We were terrific against Peterhead for 80 minutes before losing two late goals.

"That first league win is not far away."

Clyde welcome back Gavin Brown following suspension as they head north after ending a dismal run of results against Queen's Park last weekend with a 3-0 success.

However, the Bully Wee are without David Marsh (heel), Sean Fitzharris (hamstring) and Stefan McCluskey (ankle).

Manager Jim Duffy said: "We have played well in our recent trips to Elgin but this league is so unpredictable you cannot take anything for granted.

"We were great in the second half against Queen's Park but we will need a 90-minute performance to win at Elgin."
