Elgin V East Stirling at Borough Briggs - Match Preview

Elgin aim to build on Gers point

Paul Harkins is suspended as Elgin host East Stirling looking for the three points which will lift them back into a play-off spot.

Harkins is banned after his dismissal against Rangers in last weekend's 1-1 draw, while Adam McLeod is missing due to work commitments and Ross O'Donoghue is struggling with a back injury.

Craig Gunn could return after a recent family bereavement however manager Ross Jack is leaving the decision to the frontman.

Jack said: "We have been flying in training this week after scoring late to get a point at Ibrox, however we cannot lose sight of the fact that we have slipped out of the play-off spots.

"A win over East Stirling will not be easy as they have already beaten Queens Park and Peterhead this season."

Captain Kevin Turner is available after illness as East Stirling head to the other end of the country to face Elgin.

There is not much other good news for head coach John Coughlin, with Paul Quinn and Raymond Buchanan not travelling due to illness and injuries ruling out Rhys Devlin, Alan Benton, Nathan Shepherd, Kyle Gillespie and Philip Zufle.

Coughlin said: "We are short on numbers so we will have to promote from our youth set-up. Aside from Rangers, Elgin are the best side in this division as they have a lot of pace and power as well as a lot of height in their team.

"We will have to dig deep to take something back from there."
