Elgin V Stirling at Borough Briggs - Match Preview

Injury nightmare for City

Elgin could be without nine players as they welcome Stirling to Borough Briggs.

Paul Harkins (thigh) and Paul Millar (poisoned toe) will both be assessed ahead of the game but City are definitely without seven others as they look to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat.

Cameron MacDonald and Ross McKinnon (both ankle), Jamie Duff, David Niven and Cieran McLean (knee) and Dennis Wyness (hamstring) have all been ruled out through injury while Lewis Halford is unavailable due to family commitments.

Boss Ross Jack said: "We will be short of numbers but there is no point in feeling sorry for ourselves we just need to go out and battle.

"Stirling are in good form and got a point from Rangers but we need everyone to rise to the challenge."

Stirling will be without David Crawford for the trip.

The goalkeeper picked up a knee problem during Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Rangers. Sam Filler, who has not appeared since getting sent-off against Annan in November, is expected to replace him in goal.

Ross McGeachie remains sidelined due to a foot injury while player/manager Greig McDonald underwent a knee operation on Thursday.

Albion have not been beaten since January and have moved off the foot of the table.

McDonald said: "We have not lost in six games and I want that run to continue up at Elgin.

"We have had a good week getting off the bottom of the table and then coming back to get a point against Rangers but we cannot stop now as we have to climb the table further."
