Coach Kenny Black's son, Stephen, has agreed to play for Elgin at the beginning of the 2004/05 season. The 21 year old who played in the Aberdeen friendly last season will help cover injury and suspension problems facing Elgin before returning to America.

Meanwhile, Robbo looks to be adding a bit of flair to the side as he chases after Trinidadian Kevin Jeffrey. The thirty year old striker finished top scorer for 'A' League Pro Soccer side Richmond Kickers and could become available in September.

Robertson is currently looking into problems which may arise with registration after failing to sign Matt Pauls and Carlos Garay last season.

On top of this, three former Blackburn Rovers players may be coming on trial at Borough Briggs after being released by the Premiership side.

Goalkeeper Keiron Renton, midfielder Adam Nelson and right back Stuart Cumming, all 19, have come north for evaluation. All three have previously worked with Kenny Black.

Martin Harty has now definitely signed for Elgin City.
