May hits four as Wasps win title
Striker Stephen May netted four as Alloa sealed the Scottish Third Division title with a 8-1 thumping of Elgin.
City keeper Alexander Clark was dismissed in the 16th minute before Mark Nicolson put through his own net on the half-hour mark.
May scored either side of the interval as the Wasps began to dominate.
Robert Winters all but ensured victory two minutes later when he fired a fourth from 12 yards.
But Paul Millar did pull a goal back from close range in the 51st minute to complete a flurry of four goals in seven minutes.
However, May sealed the occasion with a hat-trick goal in the 65th minute before adding his fourth inside the box 10 minutes later.
Substitute Ryan McCord fired in a stunning free-kick eight minutes before time, and Craig Campbell completed the rout a minute later when he finished from Mark Docherty's through ball.
