Black and Whites blow for Borderers

Berwick had their Scottish Third Division play-off hopes all but ended after drawing 3-3 with Elgin.

Berwick led 3-1 with 15 minutes to go, but conceded twice and had a man sent off late on. They now trail Elgin by six points with two games left.

The home side went ahead after just 20 seconds through Kevin McDonald's strike.

Elgin equalised in the 23rd minute as Mark Durnan turned in Paul Millar's cross.

Berwick regained the lead through Jordon Forster's 45th-minute header and extended their lead in the 53rd minute through Stuart Noble's spectacular 30-yard effort.

But Elgin fought back with two goals in three minutes. First Jason Crooks pulled a goal back in the 75th minute before Craig Gunn equalised.

Andrew McLean was dismissed for the home side for picking up two yellow cards with three minutes left.
