East Stirling ended a run of 10 successive defeat courtesy of a 1-1 draw at home to Elgin.

Elgin started the game on fire, opening the scoring in the first minute through striker Craig Gunn, who rifled the ball into the roof of the net from 12 yards.

Despite the early setback, East Stirling were playing the better football and it was no surprise when on 40 minutes they drew level.

A beautifully executed free-kick by Bradley Coyne from 18 yards left Alexander Clark with no chance.

But midfielder Alistair Love was given his marching orders for violent conduct 12 minutes from time after picking up an earlier booking for a foul on Mark Nicolson.

Even with 10 men, it was the home side who looked most likely to score in the second half.
