Elgin hit top spot

Elgin soared to the top of the Scottish Third Division after recording an impressive 4-1 win at bottom-side East Stirling.

Brian Cameron opened the scoring in the seventh minute as he rifled home a left-footed drive past Ryan McWilliams.

Craig Gunn added the second from close range and Ross O'Donoghue hit a sweet strike past McWilliams for number three six minutes before the interval.

Kevin Turner hit the crossbar for the hosts but Dennis Wyness made no mistake at the other end with the fourth in the 59th minute.

Turner did pull one back for East Stirling a minute later and also hit the woodwork again late on.
