Elgin 0-1 Queens Park- Match Report

Last updated : 19 February 2011 By DSG

Martin McBride`s 19th-minute penalty proved decisive as Queen`s Park made it two away wins in the space of four days with a 1-0 victory over Elgin.

After a cagey opening period, in which both sides battled for the initiative, McBride converted from the spot after Paul Kaczan brought down Michael Daly.

Elgin tried valiantly to get back into the game thereafter, but the visitors continued to dominate with Michael Daly and McBride both going close before half-time.

Any hopes the home side had of getting back into the game faded in the 61st minute when Neil MacDonald was sent off for violent conduct.

That proved to be the game`s final incident as Queen`s Park followed up Wednesday`s 1-0 triumph over East Stirling with another maximum-points haul.
