Queen's Park 0-1 Elgin City

There was a few differences to the side. Paul Harvey & Mark Ferry came in replacing Shaun Molloy & Brian Blair meaning that Billy Stark reverted to a
4-4-2 formation.

It was a poor start to the game but after 13 minutes David McCallum's cross found Ally Graham whose header hit the crossbar.

After 25 minutes young Alan Trouten outfoxed two Elgin defenders and his low left foot strike was deflected and saved by Kieron Renton.

But Elgin's first attack seen a goal. Stuart Kettlewell failed to clear the ball and Martin Harty's strike took a wicked deflection off Kettlewell leaving Crawford helpless.

After that McCallum could have equalised he hit an excellent drive on the edge of the box and it was deflected over for a corner kick.

Just before half-time referee John Underhill made his first action of the game. The man with the dodgy sounding whistle booked Kettlewell for a dangerous challenge.

After 52 minutes a piece of brilliance from Paul Harvey on the edge of the box seen a cross put in to Big Ally whose header hit the bar AGAIN!!!

Elgin should have really made it two after a hour. Reid found himself through but a powerful save by DC prevented a goal.

That was the last time the ball was out of the Elgin half.
