Queens Park 1-1 Elgin- Report

Last updated : 18 December 2010 By DSG

Elgin stretched their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions with a 1-1 draw at Queen's Park.

The hosts had the better chances in the first half but Tony Quinn had a volley blocked by Brian Cameron and was then guilty of a weak shot from David Anderson's cross. Peter Donnelly also twice denied Anderson.

Giuseppe Capuano was unable to convert a couple of openings after the break but the deadlock was broken after 66 minutes when Martin McBride found Quinn and the midfielder fired past Donnelly.

Elgin had to brave the roads to fulfil the fixture and they got their reward when Jason Crooks headed home a Craig Frizzel centre to level the scores with 19 minutes remaining.

Donnelly kept out Craig Smith to ensure Ross Jack's side held on for a point.
